PAX South Indie Showcase

Our booth!
Our booth!

Two weekends ago we were honored to present Conduct as part of the PAX South Indie Showcase. The first thing we have to say is thank you to Penny Arcade, both for selecting us for the Showcase and for providing a great environment in which to show Conduct.  Second is an even bigger THANK YOU to everyone who came by our booth; it was fantastic to see so many people get as excited about Conduct as we are.  One lovely young couple (if you’re reading this, reach out!  How did we not get your info?) even convinced us to do a complete run-through in the open tabletop area after our panel on Saturday night, which was probably the highlight of the weekend.  As first-time designers, there is nothing better than getting feedback, and we took a ton of notes over the three days.  We were stuck in the Houston airport for much of Monday on the way back, and spent most of that time talking about what is working, what we want to change, what our next storyline should be, how to find an illustrator to match our current Art Nouveau style, and so much more.  Your excitement feeds ours, in a glorious cycle of gaming deliciousness.

We will be sharing Conduct with some local gaming groups and stores in the Seattle area over the next few weeks, as well as some additional cons (we won’t be at PAX East, sorry!), so keep an eye here and our Twitter feed for upcoming events, and we’ll also be posting some dev diaries on a regular basis to give some insight into our process, as well as keeping you updated on the state of the game.

One more thing – all the other designers in the Indie Showcase were showing some awesome games, in addition to just being some fantastic people.  Most of them are available to buy now, or are currently on Kickstarter.  Here’s where you can find their games:

Bring Your Own Book – //do better games
Cogs In A Machine – Mikeware
Epic Resort – Floodgate Games
Goblin’s Breakfast – Midnight Campaign
Paperback – Tim Fowers
The Shadow Over Westminster – Zenion Games
The Siblings Trouble – Pencil First Games

Thanks again to PAX and all of the wonderful people who stopped by our booth.  We had a great time and hope you did too!

Jason & Doug
